Post #9: Coming Back Home
The transition back home has proven to be very difficult for me. My parents moved out of our childhood home when I left for college, because I am the youngest of my sisters and it was time for them to downsize to an apartment. I feel very displaced because I came home to a place that doesn’t feel like home. It has also been hard because my parents are working from home due to Covid-19 and there is very little space for all of us. I’ve found the only quiet/unoccupied space to do school work is my bedroom and being in such an informal setting has negatively affected my motivation and work ethic. However, I know that this is all necessary and I am actively working on figuring out all of my uncomfortably.
