Post #6: Blues for a Red Planet
While watching this episode, of Carl Sagan’s The Cosmos, Carl explains that the reasons why we see mars as a potentially more habitable planet then other planets. The same reason we refer to aliens as martians and not saturnians. This is because Mars and Earth have a lot of similarities. Like Earth, Mars has polar icecaps, white clouds, dust storms, seasonally changing pattern, and even 24 hour days. However it has been proven that Mars is much different the Earth. Still, Mars is a very interesting planet that presents many opportunities and potential for the future.
