Post #3: Harmony of the Worlds
While watching this episode, of Carl Sagan’s The Cosmos, Carl Sagan talks about the differences between astronomy and astrology. For example. Astronomers see Saturn as a globe of hydrogen and helium circled by a ring of snowballs. They see Jupiter’s great red spot as giant storm raging for what could be a million years. Whereas, astrologists believe that planets affect human character and fate. For example, Jupiter represents a regal and a gentle disposition and Saturn fosters mistrust, suspicion, and evil. Astrology is not a true science and astronomy is.
