Out of this World

Post #2: The Shores of the Cosmic Ocean

While watching this episode, of Carl Sagan’s The Cosmos, I was intrigued by how he explained our cosmic location. We are in a galaxy grouping called the Local Group. The Local Group is dominated by two great spiral galaxies, the Andromeda and Milky Way galaxies. We are located on the Orion arm of the Milky Way. From there we are in the solar system and are located on our home planet of earth.
